DescriptionThis is a collection of six textile cuttings of roller-printed cottons in small-scale designs in coordinating colors of rusty red, pink-red, brown, and black on tan.
A: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design consisting of a stripe with musical bars alternating with a "PEACE" shield and flower sprig.
B: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design consisting of tan stripes overlaid with an oval sprig.
C: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design of a textured printed stripe in a plaid effect.
D: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design of a stripe alternating with a tan texture with repeated rosettes on brown edged with red.
E: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design of oval "bullseyes" against sprig-like shapes on an orange-red ground.
F: This is a small rectangular textile fragment in a design of stripe of printed pebble-like texture alternating with solid. The colors are brown and coral red.

A note with the textile fragments states: "From the 1876 Exhibition in Philadelphia/ when my relatives went there. These are/ companion prints, all using the same/ colors. There were two other prints:/ one with "1876-1776" in red plaid-like/ design I showed you in "Crossroads"/ quilt. The other was in "Old Maids Puzzle [?]"/ in the bottom row. A plaid-like design/ "1776-1876 around a shield." These can't be/ used because of dye rot. Arnold Savage 10-03."
