DescriptionPlate: Soft-paste porcelain plate with wavy rim; edge painted brown; central decoration in “Yellow Tiger” pattern with tiger, bamboo, rocks, flowering prunus branches, and floral clusters.
Label TextThe Asian-inspired pattern on this plate, called the "Yellow Tiger" illustrates design influences from Chelsea and Japanese porcelain examples decorated in the Kakiemon style. The plate bears a brown painted rim which closely copies Japanese examples of the period.
