DescriptionBrass snuff or tobacco box: Round brass box with pressure-fit lid stamped with relief of figures of two men seated at a table, perahps playing cards (one man wears a liberty cap?). Lid of box is lined; box is very heavy.
Label TextSmall metal boxes with close-fitting lids were used for both snuff and smoking tobacco.
