DescriptionTankard: thrown agateware mug with cylindrical, flat body that tapers slightly toward the top rim, ear-shaped extruded ribbed handle applied vertically to one side; the reddish brown and cream-colored clays create a swirling marbled pattern; the entire object except for the underside is covered in a lead glaze.
