DescriptionWoman's cloak of plaid worsted with "hard" finish, woven of red, green, white, and black tartan-like fabric in plain weave. The long, loose garment is pleated to a narrow yoke at the shoulders, with a thirteen inch-deep shoulder cape attached at the neckline. The neckline is topped with a standing ruffle 4 1/2" wide. The cloak is fastened at the neck with a large hook and eye. Vertical welt arm slits are positioned on both sides of the front. The cloak and cape-collar are fully lined with heavily napped green tabby-woven woolen, probably called "baize." The inside of the yoke has hanging loop.
