DescriptionPlate with cylindrical foot ring. Blue tin glaze with deep manganese powder ground: in the center, a circular reserve containing a basket of flowers; on the rim, alternating circular and frond-shaped reserves containing fleurs-de-lis and radiating lines, respectively; painted in red-orange. On the reverse rim, alternating crosses and double slashes in blue.
Label TextThe profile of this delft plate suggests production in Bristol. A fragment of a plate painted with a basket of the same design and in the same color was excavated in Williamsburg at the George Reid House-Capt. Orr dwelling (11A.0721).

InscribedThere are two labels on the reverse of this plate. One reads "G. F.
Buckler / Roundhay / Leeds / NO 1241 Description Bristol / Limekiln / Lane," the other "D 124 Bristol /Delft / Pottery / Limekiln Lane / 1706-1 746 / Wm potterys period / 1724 / Painter Wm. Pottery / 1 / RH."
