Label TextThis dish is derived from the popular silver shape used at the Chelsea factory, but the decoration is less familiar. The painting of fruits and flowers as if they cast a shadow on the porcelain is a device taken from Meissen, where it was called ombrirte teutsche Blumen. Shadowed flowers were used as a decorative element briefly during the red anchor period and rarely in the raised anchor period.
