DescriptionWaistcoat of orange silk satin. Waistcoat is double-breasted with fourteen self-covered buttons in two rows. Standing collar. Functional pockets with horizontal welt openings. Lining and back of natural cotton.

Construction History:
1. 1785 Initial Construction
2. Date Unknown- Center back shaped and taken in with a dart that starts just under the collar.
3. Date Unknown- side seams expanded with a set-in 1" wide strip of fabric
4. Date Unknown- At the armhole region a trangular piece of fabric added to achieve the desired size cloth.
5. Date Unknown- darned repair on the left front near the top button.
