DescriptionAppearance: Low post bedstead, turned somewhat bulbous legs, with circular knob on top; turned, somewhat bulbous headposts containing peaked headboard; end rails "square" in section and chamfered on all four edges; side rails square in section and chamfered on all four edges; side rails jointed about one-third of way from head of bed; pair of turned legs at joints in side rails, connected by a shaped supporting member; all four rails contain holes for ropes; entire bed painted red with traces of green paint over the red.

Wods: Primary wood: Maple, Secondary: oak repairs on feet and on one end of right side of rail; white pine headboard.
