DescriptionRectangular sideboard with overhanging top with slightly bowed front and cross banded edges; front divided into three section by four unequally spaced legs (center section wider than end sections); end sections consist of a drawer on the proper right and a door on the proper left both with veneered fronts with inlaid oval stringing around a center oval brass pull with stamped American eagle nad stars and satinwood banding around edges, inset brass escutcheons at top center; center section consists of a drawer over a recessed section with double doors; center drawer veneered and inlaid with two lightwood string ovals each around an oval brass pull, satinwood banding around perimeter of drawer and an inset brass escutcheon center top; double cabinet doors veneered with satinwood banding around perimeter and an inset brass escutcheon on the proper left door; sideboard has six legs, two at rear and four across the front; front legs inlaid in top portions with six long lightwood flutes each over an oval pattera consisting of an oval fan with scalloped edges on a black background; light and dark triple banding edges the bottom of the sideboard front and sides and divides the upper and lower sections of the legs; below the banding, the legs square in cross section taper down to feet, then flare and taper to form spade feet; lower section of legs outlined with lightwood string and contain three graduated bellflowers of unusual shape divided by round dots with dark centers, terminating in a dark leaf; sides of sideboard are inlaid with light and dark eight pointed stars.
