DescriptionAppearance: Bow-back Windsor armchair; back has seven cylindrical spindles passing through a bent arm rail and through-tenoned into the bow; the arm rests have pronounced scrolled terminals and are supported by raked baluster turnings; ovoid saddle-shaped seat of white pine rests above four raking baluster-turned legs; H-stretchers turned with pronounced swells reinforce the legs; the chair has a worn painted surface; traces of original green paint are present, as are later coats red, blue; uppermost layer is black.

Woods:The legs, stretchers, and arm supports are maple, the seat is white pine, and the bow and spindles are ash.
