DescriptionGlobular teapot with applied spout and loop handle, cylindrical neck, and everted base. Engraved on one side with a spray of rosebuds and leaves, and on the other with a shield with "S F" monogram on the inside, and crossed leaf sprays below. Cover has swan finial.
Label TextGlass teapots are great rarities. Their use is difficult to document, but opaque white glass tea wares are known to have enjoyed a limited popularity during the middle of the eighteenth century.
Inscribed"S F" engraved on face within shield.
