DescriptionArched top trunk covered with cowhide with hair on. The lid, reinforced and ornamented with 4 leather straps and, at center of front, back, and each end, a rectangular tin plate painted black; all held with brass studs which also form diamond shaped lozenge in center; edged and scalloped brown leather skirting; body has brass studded straps and a diamond shaped lozenge near each end of front; an iron bail handle at each end and iron lock and hasp. Lined with light blue paper.
