DescriptionStaffordshire, salt-glazed, stoneware cream jug. Thrown "drab" body with cobalt or gilded "sprigged" (appplied) decoration. Gray, pear-shaped body on three feet in white, applied with white and blue fruity vines.
Label TextThe term “drab ware” refers to objects colored a khaki or putty shade, usually enhanced with white or blue and white relief decoration. Teapots and cream jugs are the most common forms in drab ware.
