DescriptionLooking glass held in a mahogany veneered pine frame. Scrolled crest and base have selected, gilded foliate and scrolled elements around edge of frame. Central carved and gilded phoenix cartouche. Carved and gilded foliate vine down sides of frame. Incised and gilded foliate motifs in central portions of crest and base. Rectangular glass with rounded corners and scalloped edges. Frame has gilded fillet around glass.
Inscribed"FORWARD" in chalk across backboard.
MarkingsA round paper label appears on the reverse ("7617").
