DescriptionOctagonal, soft-paste porcelain plate with a raised ridge at the rim. There is a line of red, iron oxide on the ridge. The ledge is decorated with alternating red and gold flowers. In the center of the plate, there are two quails. The quail on the left is painted red and has gilt highlights. It sits under a plant with long green stems and red flowers highlighted with gilding. The quail on the right is painted with blue and yellow enamels. It sits on a red brushwood fence. There is a plant with blue limbs and red, blue, and gold flowers extending up from behind the fence.
