DescriptionWindsor settee has an essentially rectangular back composed of thirty-five vertical, bamboo-turned spindles set into a long, rectangular plank seat, beneath slightly serpentine cresting rail; incised lines carved into outer edges of cresting rail and stiles; slightly shaped arms terminating in scrolls supported by seven bamboo-turned spindles; continuous groove on seat runs around all spindles and arm supports; bamboo-turned legs braced by six lengthwise and three crosswise cylindrical stretchers.
