DescriptionFull length coat dress, or "pelisse," of medium brown tabby silk trimmed with appliqued dark purple velvet in curved waves narrowing from hem to waist and widening toward shoulders. Rounded collar. Very full sleeves with fullness pleated in at top of shoulder, narrowing below elbows and ending in velvet trimmed cuffs. Slightly raised waist. The garment fastens at center front with hooks; the lower skirt is sewn shut. Entire garment padded with batting. Lined with biege glazed cotton at skirt and linen in bodice. Attached belt.
