DescriptionThis is a rectangular coverlet handwoven in indigo blue and natural linen in a geometric pattern. The weft yarns show color variation from different lots of natural-dyed indigo. The coverlet is constructed of two panels of woven cloth, centered seamed with a butted selvage.

Per weaver, the coverlet was woven from a 1716 draft by Thomas Jackson, a weaver from Yorkshire, England.
