Brown taffeta ribbons. The hat is hand stitched.
Label TextThis collapsible bonnet carries the tradition of wired or caned calashes of the eighteenth century into the following century. Unlike the balloon-shaped calashes of the 1770s and 1780s, this example is shaped to follow the hair and hat styles of the 1820s.
