The verse reads:
"Wishing a Happy New Year to Grand Papa.
His second Offsprings Wish the Grandsire hears,
And begs for them a happy length of Years.
And that their Path through Lifes hard dangerous Road,
May prove much Kinder than his Footsteps Trod."
