Label TextThomas Tudor Tucker (b. June 25, 1745 - d. May 2, 1828) was the brother of St. George Tucker. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and practiced in Charleston, South Carolina. As a surgeon during the Revolution, he was in command of the military hospital in the Governor's Palace at Williamsburg. He later served as congressman from 1789 to 1793; he was appointed United States treasurer in 1801 and served that position until his death in 1828. See Acc.
