DescriptionCounterfeit Connecticut 20 shilling note (No. 260), issue of 1 June 1780. Cancelled with a 1" hole punched out of the central portion of the note. Obverse incsribed "COUNTERFEIT" with two "X" cancels and with two forged signatures below. Reverse docketed and endorsed by "JAMES DANIELS," mentioned in the accompanying document (2002-68,2) as being the source from which Stephen Maynard received this false note.
