DescriptionBaluster-shaped mug with narrow circular foot ring and molded C-scroll handle with molded lower terminal in the shape of a ju'i (the head of a Buddhist monk's scepter). Decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt with large flowers and foliage. The upper rim is bordered by a band of red diaper work and flowers.

Label TextChinese export porcelain decorated in the Imari colors of underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt was widely owned in Colonial America.
