DescriptionStaffordshire tortoiseshell-glazed creamware figure of a lion modeled possibly after a Bow porcelain original, the menacing beast baring his pointed teeth, his tail curled between his legs and up over his left flank to his back, and standing foursquare on a rocky oval base, the whole splashed and streaked in manganese brown.
