DescriptionSilver punch ladle with turned wooden handle: A shaped and fluted silver oval bowl with bifurcated scroll, shell and leaf juncture and tapering tubular ferrule. Turned wooden handle (probably replaced) with swollen ovoid terminal.

InscribedLater engraved in shaded block letters on outside bottom of silver bowl "SLC"
MarkingsMarked in relief inside of silver bowl: 1) leopard's head crowned; 2) date letter "C" for 1738-39; and 3) lion passant. No sponsor's mark visible
