DescriptionWoman's padded hood of black ribbed silk (taffeta). Deep crown is shaped by 3 horizontal rows of corded and shirred material terminating with 2 black silk bows at center back of crown. A scalloped brim framing the face is folded back. The outside edges of the brim and wide flaring neck shield are trimmed with pleated narrow black satin tape. Machine quilted brownish-grey silk lining. Replaced black silk ribbon tie-strings.
