Woman's cap of white cotton woven in self-color windowpane check. Constructed of two pieces with crown gathered to front panel. Front edge trimmed with eyelet. Wide ties of matching material, 16 and 10" long.
Label:This cap has the ink signature of S. W. Miller on the inner band. Sarah Wistar Miller was a Quaker who lived in Media, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, from 1840 to 1909.
