Wrought iron strap hinge of typical tapering form with chamfered outer edges, a welded barrel at one end and a disc-shaped nail pad at the other. Pierced with five nail holes.

Mark(s):"W. GEDDY" in raised letters within a rectangular cartouche, is struck into the top surface of hinge about a quarter of the way up from the barrel.
