Make-do scraper with a two piece oak handle held to the blade by clinched wrought nails. The blade is the base of a broken "hogscraper" candlestick. Two curved openings in the center of the blade once received the anchor tabs at the candlestick's bottom.
Label:A piece of metal with a clean edge is a very good tool to scrape smooth the surface of a piece of wood. While broken saw blades were often used, this make-do scraper incorporates the base of a “hogscraper” candlestick.
