DescriptionThis is a set of eight nearly-identical linen damask table napkins from the Tucker family. The napkins feature a woven floral design with “TUCKER” woven into the bottom middle of each napkin. The set of napkins is accompanied by a note that reads, “Dinner napkins with TUCKER woven in design belonging to Richard Jennings Tucker from Harmons Bay, Somerset 1775-1846,” written by Ethel Tucker (1874-1962).
Label TextThis set of eight table napkins was owned by the Tucker family of Bermuda. Woven into the damask pattern is the family name, "TUCKER." Clearly cherished as family keepsakes, they descended in the family until they were given to the museum.
InscribedThe set of napkins is accompanied by a note that reads, “Dinner napkins with TUCKER woven in design belonging to Richard Jennings Tucker from Harmons Bay, Somerset 1775-1846.”

Per Wendy Tucker the napkins were a gfit from Catharine Fitch Tucker (Feb. 28, 1879-Aug. 22, 1970) to nephew, Edward Bolton (Teddy) Tucker, MBE (May 8, 1929-June 9, 2014).
