DescriptionDoll's robe constructed of cotton-linen plain-woven textile block-printed in small-scale design in black, red, and mauve, with pencilled blues and yellow over blue to make green. The pattern is one of undulating thorny branches bearing clusters of blossoms and long frond-like leaves. Spaced among trailing branches are Asian-inspired rock formations with flowering plants. The robe is constructed of 14 scraps seamed together. The garment has a high waist and straight front closure, without buttons. Waist ties, intended to close the garment around the body, are tacked in position to center back. Sleeves are cut in one with the body, ending in turned-up cuffs. Skirt is also cut in one with the bodice and shaped to flare at the hem. All edges and seams are finished or hemmed. No lining.
