DescriptionBeige cotton stays, heavily boned throughout. Boning is inserted inside channels created by pale yellow silk backstitching. Center-front bosom area has expansion lacing partway down, with a bundle of boning material that slides in a horizontally-configured channel for expansion at bust. Tabs at the waist are edged with twill tape. Shoulder strap extensions are cut in one with the back and intended to be brought to front and tied through eyelets. Stays close at the center back with lacing eyelets.Construction History:
