DescriptionAppearance: Corner table; top triangular in closed position, square with leaf raised; ovolo molded edge to top; two curved indentations at each corner; frame of triangular shape with two sides boldly shaped in two cyma versa and recta curves; frame supported by three cabriole legs terminating in pad feet on slight disks; a fourth leg pivots on a brace with the same shape as the skirt and supports a triangular drop leaf.

Construction:
The mahogany triangular top is joined to the fixed rails with a series of closely placed 3-5” white pine glue blocks. The rails are double- tenoned and through-pegged to the mahogany cabriole legs with integral pad feet. The swing rail is finger joined to the fixed center rail which in turn is relieved to receive it. The side rails are mahogany and are chamfered on the lower inside edge. The center fixed rail and swing rail are maple, with the swing rail stained to match the mahogany leg and coated with a red wash on the interior. All rails are shaped on the lower edge to serve as skirts. The mahogany hinged top is joined to the fixed top with original iron box hinges. The top has an integral ovolo molded edge and two curved indentations in each corner.

Woods: Primary wood is mahogany with maple frame and white pine blocks.
