The cradle is formed by a head board and foot board with a piece of wood in between that is flat on the bottom and curved on the top -- this forms the body of the cradle. The whole has been painted yellow with red lines. A small oval head is applied just below the head board so that it appears as if there is a figure in the cradle. The whole cradles rests on a kidskin bellows. There is a wooden tab at teh base beneath the headboard so that the piece can be pushed down and made to squeak.
