The text within the oval surrounding the portrait reads: "CATHARINE OF ARRAGON,/ QUEEN OF K. HENRY VIII."

The lower margin reads: "In the Collection of the Hon.ble Horace Walpole./ Holben pinxit/ J. Houbraken sculps. Amst. 1743./ Impensis I. & P. Knapton Londini 1744."
Provenance:This strange print which appeared in Birch's HEADS OF ILLUSTRIOUS PERSONS as Catherine can not be traced to a portrait. A miniature resembling this pose was bought by Walpole. This is now in the Pierpont Morgan Collection of Miniatures
