DescriptionPlow plane of standard rectangular shape with an adjustable fence the length of the body. The lower edge of the discharge side is rabbeted for the iron skate and it is secured to the body with four iron rivets. Two square arms protrude down to the fence and sit in dados secured with riveted pins that have square washers on the top. The arms run through mortises in the plane body adjusted with wooden thumbscrews threaded through the top. A decorative cove molding is on the underside of the fence and the inner top edge is rabbeted to receive the plane body. The top and side edges of the body have flat chamfers that terminate with lamb’s tongue cuts on the far side and stop at the cove molding above the skate on the discharge side.
