DescriptionUniface counterfeit $1 bill, made in imitation of Virginia's issue of October 7, 1776. Obverse carries the usual text, the forged signature of Blonet Pasteur, the serial number 876, and a depiction of Virtue trampling King George III above two circles. One is inscribed with the denomination and DEATH TO COUNTERFEIT, the other bears the reverse devices of a Spanish-colonial 8 reales of the "portrait" type.
