DescriptionSleeve supports for 1830s gown. These sleeve supports are made from the yellowish plain woven linen that has been stiffened or sized. They are made from a single layer that are pleated to shape. The original four ties remain intact around the armseye. After the supports were pleated, they were bound in plain woven tape and then joined together.
