DescriptionUrn, of amphora shape: square plinth with stacked double ogee edge rises to a spreading pedestal foot with ogee edge that supports an egg-shaped body. The top of the urn with strongly dimensional egg-and dart molding and two equidistant rosettes, from which laurel swags descend. Topped by a cover with flat-ish base, with incurvate, rising necks surmounted with finials of stacked beads. These reversing to a comparable form but with a socket opening for candles rather than a finial. The underside of the base turned to a concave shape, leaving a trapezoidal foot ring.
Markings"WEDGWOOD & BENTLY ETRURIA" impressed in a circle around the central bolt.
