DescriptionOval salver: applied beaded border at rim on short concave sides with high-chased husk band and applied inner beaded border; plain flat base of oval plan supported on four short cast legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet.Label TextAn oval teapot stand of 1786/87 by William Plummer of London of similar design--beaded edge but without the chased husk decoration and the applied inner beaded border--is engraved with the Carter family arms and is part of the Carter family silver at Shirley, Charles City County, Virginia.
