DescriptionAppearance: Blanket chest: flat, rectangular top with worn molded edge, hinged at rear with staples; straight sides and front; molded strips applied to front right (missing corresponding strip on front left) and bottom with two medial strips across face to simulate three horizontal drawers, two of which are false; full-length bottom drawer has pair of turned wooden pulls; no center board beneath drawer. Sides of chest are lapped over the front and back boards. The feet are doweled into the base. Covered with old and possibly original red paint.Woods: The body of the chest is white pine, the feet are oak, and the rear board of the base is yellow pine.
