DescriptionBureau table: flat, rectangular top, walnut veneered on oak and bordered with band of cross-banded veneer; straight, veneered sides; chamfered front corners, fluted from top to bottom, and terminating in lamb's tongue at top and bottom; flat, rectangular, veneered slide at front beneath top, pulled out by two brass knobs; pair of rectangular lopers one on each side below slide, each with veneered front, molded edges and single brass knob; full, length drawer beneath slide with molded edges and cross-banded veneer front, with pair of pierced brasses and central, pierced escutcheon; small, tray drawer below at center with ogee shaped lower edge; at each side below top drawer are three, rectangular, graduated drawers, each with molded edges, cross-banded, veneered front surfaces and pierced brass pulls surrounding keyholes at center; interior of all drawers plain except top drawer which is divided into ten, irregular partitions; lower, central portion of front beneath tray drawer is recessed and is fronted by an arched drawer, molded around edge and faced with cross-banded veneer with floral, brass escutcheon on left; door opens to reveal two interior shelves; whole section pulls out; molded base above six, ogee bracket feet, four in front, two at rear.
