DescriptionDressing glass. Rectangular glass surrounded by a moulded frame which is suspended between two upright stiles by drop ring screws, the stiles terminate at the top in ivory ball finials, and are connected at base to a rectangular case which has moulded top edges, with one rectangular drawer across front which has two round brass pulls and a brass escutcheon. The base of the drawer and the front stiles of the case are outcurved. The case is supported on a moulded base over bracket feet. The interior of the drawer is fitted and contains twenty compartments of varying size and includes two large covered boxes, two small covered boxes, two brushes all of which have brass ring pulls, one brush with a turned handle, a pincushion on a moulded frame supported on small bracket feet. The pincushion is covered with silk brocade in a red and black design. there is also a sliding panel which reveals a secret drawer.ca. 1820
