DescriptionThe lower margin reads: "I. Miller. Inv.t delin et Sculp."Frontispiece for the London Magazine: An old man, probably Father Time, with fallen scythe, and unclothed, has his hands on a globe showing the ocean and North America. A winged woman holding a streamer rests it on his shoulders. It is marked "St. Halo's June 8, Louisbourg July 26, Cherbourg Augt 8, Frontenac Augt 27." Above her on a pedestal is another winged figure with a laurel wreath. On the other side are two women, the one with shield and staff in hand is Britannia. The setting is a kind of vale with houses and rocks in the background.
