DescriptionDifferent powers of Europe are represented by various animals assembled around a table at the Congress of Aix-la-Chapelle. On the table lie the various treaties the countries are negotiating. The animals are used to represent the following: France as a cock crowing, perched on the back of a chair acting as president; England as the lion; Genoa a dog; Holland as a boar; Prussia as a furious greedy wolf; Spain as a leopard; Germany as a griffin; Austria as an eagle.
