Label TextThis print is one of a set of four depicting allegorical representations of the four seasons based on paintings by David Teniers (now in the collection of the Natural Gallery, London). The Autumn has come and time for the grape harvest. In the foreground a farmer with wine glass and pitcher in hand is seen. To the rear a shed with 2 workers in the process of wine making.
ProvenanceThe original Teniers paintings from which these prints were drawn are in the National Gallery, London. It is here they were probably seen and copied into prints.
