DescriptionArched cresting over vasiform splat; stiles curve inward at top, terminate in carved rosettes. Splat veneered in burl walnut; front edges bead and reel carved in center. Stiles conform in outline to shape of splat; fronts leaf-carved above arms; rosettes at base, just above seat. "Shepherd’s crook" arms, shaped and curved in plan and elevation. Trapezolidal seat frame, bowed at front, and veneered with burl walnut. Scalloped front apron with applied shell and acanthus carving in center. Front legs cabriole; knees with ruffle carving at top and center with pendant leaf-carving; scrolled knee blocks; claw and ball feet.
