DescriptionHigh chest in two sections, upper section with broken arch pediment with broad, molded cornice; stubby, flame-carved finial on plinth at center between two arches; short, stubby, cone-shaped finial at either side; straight sides; front composed of drawers, the upper row with a pair of small drawers flanking a taller central drawer with fan carving; below are four, full-length graduated drawers; each drawer with bail handles over solid scrolled backplates, the full-length drawers with central escutcheon plates of similar shape (not all original). Lower section open, top surrounded by raised molding to receive upper section; straight-sides, front composed of narrow full-length drawer at top above three deeper, equal sized drawers, the center one fan-carved; side skirts of single arch; front skirt of three, flat-headed arches, divided by plinths molded on base; supported on four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet on discs.Woods: All secondary wood is white pine with the exception of white oak braces beneath the bonnet.
