DescriptionDouble compartment pocketbook in canvas stitch called irish stitch (Florentine, or flame stitch). The flame pattern is worked in colored wool (reds, golds, greens), edged with black on coarse linen canvas; lined with blue-green glazed wool (calamanco) and bound and tied with blue silk ribbon.Construction History:
